A young Canadian woman in London dreams of becoming a successful songwriter. Things are going well until she receives a threatening letter from the government demanding that she return to Ontario. Desperate for a British passport, Chloe decides to find a local husband using internet dating. Rushing from one would be suitor to another, she receives an unexpected education from the University of life and as the day of deportation arrives, she begins to question whether marriage should be for love or convenience.
